10th International Conference on Surfaces, Coatings and Nanostructured materials (NANOSMAT)
With the financial support from Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences (FRIS), Tohoku University, I had a good opportunity to share my research in International Nanosmart conference held on Sep. 13-16th, at Manchester in UK. NANOSMAT is a premier conference in the field of materials related nanoscience, engineering and nanotechnology, attracting the participants from all over the world every year. Since 2005, it has been very successfully organized in several European countries, including Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Poland, Czech Republic and Ireland.
The conference was held in Manchester this year, providing me a good chance to share and discuss with many scientists. I came to know the on-going cutting-edge research across the world. Besides, the Nobel laureates’ lecture given by Andre Geim impressed me. I also had the chance to give my oral speech on “Magnetically Soft Co-HfN Nano-composite Films with Wide Compositional Range”. The audience, of course, asked a few questions about the application of this matter and gave me good advice and encouragement, which inspired me and would be beneficial for conducting future research. I learned a lot as well form oral speech and posters delivered by other participants, which widened my horizon.
It is the first time for me to go to Manchester in UK. This city has a lot of amazing architecture and beautiful churches. During this trip, I also paid a visit to University of Manchester, a very famous university in UK. I appreciate this good experience to learn worldwide research topics and prospects.
I acknowledged again the financial support from FRIS.
