I was honoured to participate in the 2025 AADOCR/CADR Annual Meeting and Exhibition, which took place in New York, USA, from March 12–15. My mentor, associate professor Hideki Kitaura and I were invited by Dr. Joy Richman from the University of British Colombia, Canada to present our lab’s research in a symposium titled: The Odontoclast, Recent Discoveries on Normal and Abnormal Function in an oral presentation and to engage in discussions on root resorption during orthodontic tooth movement.

The symposium was an intellectually stimulating experience, and our research played a key role in shaping its conclusions on the origins of odontoclasts and the distinctions between different clastic cell populations.
