EMRS 2025 Fall meeting, Warsaw, Poland

2025.9.15-9.18

With the support of the Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences' FY2025 Support Program for Young Researchers to Present at Overseas Research Conferences, I was able to participate in the international conference E-MRS 2025 Fall Meeting held in Warsaw, Poland. This conference, organized by the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS), is one of the leading gatherings in materials science and brings together researchers from around the world to share the latest advances in energy materials, nanomaterials, and device technologies.

I presented a poster entitled “Silica Stabilized Fe–N4 Active Sites in Biomass-Derived Electrocatalysts for High-Performance Zinc–Air Batteries” in Symposium A: “Sustainable energy conversion: from emerging materials to devices.” My work focused on developing catalysts derived from biomass that are stabilized with silica to maintain active Fe–N₄ sites. These catalysts improve the efficiency and durability of zinc–air batteries. During the conference, I had the opportunity to present and discuss my research with international experts and fellow researchers, receive constructive feedback, and exchange ideas with potential collaborators working in the areas of energy conversion and hydrogen storage.

Attending this conference was an extremely valuable experience. It allowed me to share my research with a global audience, gain insights from other experts, and expand my professional network, which will help guide my future work in developing sustainable energy technologies.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Committee of Internationalization, Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences, for their consideration in the Overseas Conference Presentation Support Program, as well as to my mentors, supervisors, and co-researchers who provided me with this valuable opportunity.
