The 19th International Conference on Magnetism 2012
Place/Bexco Convention Center, Busan, Korea

期間/2012.07.08-15

With the financial support from Center for Interdisciplinary Research, Tohoku University, I had a good experience to give my oral speech on the ICM 2012 Conference. International Conference on Magnetism was started from 1958 as one of the largest and most prestigious conferences in the field of magnetism. Many scientists and engineers from all over the world meet and discuss novel developments in this conference every three years. This time, the ICM 2012 conference was held in the seashore city-Busan. For the scientific program, it arranged 7 plenary lectures including 3 Nobel laureates’ lectures, 14 Half-plenary lectures, and 509 oral presentations, along with 1,502 poster presentations.

The conference provided us a good chance of studying and discussing with many scientists. I have learned many novel research ideas from scientists in the oral and poster sessions. I also had the chance to give my oral on “Ferromagnetic Properties of CoPd-SrTiO3 Alloy Films with High Magnetic Anisotropy”. Fortunately, I met Prof.

Giselher Herzer, who is a famous expert of nanocrystalline materials and magnetism. He gave me much good advice and encouragement. In this trip, I also obtained the good chance to visit Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, which is is a leading research-oriented institute of Korea. The discussion and study with researchers facilitated formation of many new ideas. I appreciate this good experience to learn worldwide research topics and prospects. Thanks a lot for the support from Center for Interdisciplinary Research.
